FAQ

Gobo projection lamp

What is a projector light?
A projector light is a professional lighting device that uses LED light sources and optical lens systems to project logos, patterns, or dynamic light effects onto buildings, floors, or other surfaces. It is widely used in commercial lighting and landscape decoration.

A Gobo is a pattern template (usually made of metal or glass) installed inside the projector light. When illuminated, it creates clear and high-contrast logo or graphic projections.

Yes, projector lights fully support customization, including:

  • Company logos
  • Brand names
  • Advertising messages
  • Festival-themed designs
  • Cultural and tourism IP graphics

No. Projector lights cannot play videos or animations. They are optical projection devices that display static or dynamic patterns only.

Projector lights are widely used in:

  • Retail stores and brand promotion
  • Shopping malls and chain stores
  • Hotels and wedding decoration
  • Cultural tourism night lighting projects
  • Architectural facade lighting
  • Industrial safety marking and guidance systems

A projector light works by using an LED light source combined with optical lenses. The light passes through a Gobo pattern and is projected onto a surface in an enlarged and focused form.

Yes, but performance depends on ambient light conditions. They perform best at night or in low-light environments. High-power models are recommended for brighter conditions.

The IP (Ingress Protection) rating indicates dust and water resistance:

  • IP54: Basic protection (indoor or semi-outdoor use)
  • IP65: Rainproof and dustproof (standard outdoor use)
  • IP67: High-level waterproof protection (engineering-grade outdoor use)

IP65 or higher is recommended for outdoor applications. For long-term installation or harsh environments, IP67 is preferred.

No. Installation is simple and typically includes wall mounting, ground mounting, or ceiling suspension. The device only needs to be fixed and connected to power.

Yes. Longer distances create larger projection sizes but may reduce brightness. Proper matching of power and lens angle is important for optimal performance.

General recommendations:

  • Small retail stores: 20W–60W
  • Medium commercial spaces: 60W–100W
  • Large buildings or tourism projects: 100W+

Lens angle determines projection coverage:

  • 15°: Long-distance projection
  • 30°: Standard general-purpose angle
  • 45°: Short-distance wide-area projection

Yes, some models support motor rotation or dynamic effects, such as flowing water patterns, starry skies, or moving light effects.

Advertising Projection Lights

What is an advertising projection light?

An advertising projection light displays a logo, message, or graphic on a wall, floor, or building surface. It uses a custom gobo to create a clear and reusable advertising image.

Yes. Your logo can be produced as a custom glass gobo for the projector. Vector files usually provide the best production results. Common formats include AI, PDF, EPS, and high-resolution PNG files.

A logo projector can be used in stores, restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, exhibitions, and event venues. It can project onto entrances, floors, walls, ceilings, and outdoor building surfaces.

Yes, but the projector must have suitable weather protection. An IP65 or IP67 model is recommended for rain, dust, and changing outdoor conditions.

The correct power depends on projection distance, image size, ambient light, and installation height. Brighter locations and longer distances usually require a higher-power projector.

Visibility depends on the surrounding light and the projection surface. Daytime applications require higher brightness and a shaded projection area. Nighttime projection normally produces stronger contrast.

Glass gobos support detailed, multicolor, and full-color logo designs. Metal gobos are suitable for simple single-color patterns but may require connecting bridges inside the design.

Yes. Some advertising projection lights support logo rotation, remote control, timers, and automatic image switching. Multi-image models can display several advertisements from one projector.

The image size depends on the lens and projection distance. A longer distance normally creates a larger image. However, brightness decreases as the projected area becomes larger.

Please provide the logo file, projection distance, target image size, installation location, and ambient light conditions. These details help determine the suitable power, lens, and gobo type.

A glass gobo offers good heat resistance and long-term image quality. Its service life depends on projector power, operating time, cooling, and maintenance conditions.

It can support storefront branding, entrance guidance, and promotional displays. Local signage and outdoor lighting regulations should be checked before permanent installation.

Industrial Safety Projectors

What is an industrial safety projector?

An industrial safety projector displays warning symbols, lines, or restricted zones on floors and walls. It provides a visible warning without using paint or adhesive signs.

They are commonly used in factories, warehouses, loading areas, workshops, ports, and logistics centers. Typical applications include cranes, forklifts, production lines, and dangerous machinery.

Consider the projection distance, ambient light, image size, installation height, and operating environment. These factors determine the required power, lens, and protection rating. If you don’t know which warning symbol to choose for your warning mark, you can contact us and we will design it for you.

Yes, but the projector must have suitable weather protection. An IP65 or IP67 model is recommended for rain, dust, and changing outdoor conditions.

The required power depends on the crane height and factory lighting. Higher cranes and brighter workshops usually require a more powerful industrial projector.

Yes. The projector can be mounted directly on the crane. The warning image then moves with the crane and marks the changing danger zone.

Yes. Forklift safety projectors can display red, blue, or other colored boundary lines. These lines help pedestrians maintain a safer distance from moving vehicles.

Yes, if the housing has a suitable protection rating. IP65 or higher protection helps resist dust, moisture, and water exposure.

Yes. Warning icons, text, lines, restricted areas, and company-specific safety graphics can be customized. Simple, high-contrast designs usually provide better visibility.

Projection can reduce repainting and maintenance in areas with heavy traffic, dust, or oil. However, it should support the factory’s complete safety system.

Visibility depends on projector brightness, surface color, and surrounding light. High-power models provide better contrast in brightly illuminated industrial areas.

Some industrial models can operate in high-temperature workshops. Proper cooling, heat-resistant components, and suitable installation positions remain essential.

Selected models can work with radar, cameras, timers, or motion sensors. The warning image can activate when a vehicle or person enters a defined area.

Provide the installation height, projection distance, image size, ambient temperature, voltage, and site photos. These details help determine the correct configuration.

Safety sign projection lamp

Where are safety projection lamps suitable to be used?

Safety projection lamps are suitable for use in any place where warnings, signposting, and area isolation are required.

Floor markings done by graffiti will fade and peel off over time. Repainting them requires a significant amount of time and space, which can disrupt the normal operations of the factory. In contrast, safety projection lamps only take up a small amount of space during installation and won’t interfere with normal work.

Generally, places where safety projection lamps are used have a brightly – lit indoor environment. It is recommended to use projection lamps with a wattage of over 100W. If the environment is relatively dark, small – to – medium – sized projection lamps can be adopted.

Sure. Most safety projection lamps are equipped with an IP65 or IP67 protection rating. They can withstand wind and rain and keep working properly. They are suitable for use at docks and outdoor workplaces at night.

ALADDIN has two types of safety projection lamps for forklifts. One is a forklift – pattern projection lamp that is installed on the forklift and projects patterns to remind people in the vicinity to be cautious. The other is a forklift width – indicating lamp.

The forklift – pattern projection lamp is a compact – sized projection lamp that can be installed on a forklift to project safety warnings. It has five wiring methods.

ALADDIN Projectors safety lasers are available in red or green. You must order one or the other they cannot beswitched after purchase.

Absolutely. You can adjust the projection size by twisting the lens — the maximum width can reach 7 cm and the minimum can be as narrow as 1 cm.

Safety lasers are often used in factories, warehouses, and construction sites, but they can also mark boundaries insports training or event setups.

Not usually. Most plug into standard outlets. For ceiling or forklift mounting, appropriate brackets are required.

Yes, we have such lighting fixtures that can be used to build a security system. Through radar sensing and cameras, they can be configured to operate as switches. When someone enters a certain area, they will be activated and respond accordingly, achieving the effect of lighting fixture linkage.

It mainly leverages external devices including limit switches, radar sensors, and infrared cameras. When triggered, the projection light will cast specific patterns. In addition, it can be paired with voice announcements and flashing warning lights to further boost the safety alert effect.

It is a dedicated projection lamp based on LED optical projection principle. It projects customized safety warning patterns, texts and warning lines onto floors or walls, replacing conventional signs with light for visual safety alerts.

Sure. Ordinary ground markings wear easily, but industrial projection lights avoid this issue.

Industrial warning projector lights support three main types of projected patterns:
Direction & Signage: Directional arrows, caution for steps, slippery floor alerts, etc.
Safety Warning: Forklift safety reminders, vehicle warning marks and more.
Custom Graphics: Bespoke patterns including texts, slogans and logos per customer requirements.

Gobo projectors generally perform poorly outdoors in daytime, as no lamp can outshine sunlight. They work for indoor daytime projection yet suffer partial brightness loss; higher-wattage fixtures can be used to retain good visibility.

Absolutely. Our industrial projectors are tailor-made for factory applications.

Sure. We’ve developed two lamp models for forklift applications. One projects boundary lines alongside the truck for warning purposes, while the other casts safety warning symbols. Both versions can be mounted on forklifts for convenient use.

Certainly. Besides customizable gobo patterns, we offer other customization options. Check our Service & Support page for full details.

Safety warning projection lights are applicable to all industries requiring safe working environments.

Multi- pattern projection lamp

What is a multi - pattern projection lamp?

Aladdin multi – pattern projection lamps come in three types: the four – pattern, six – pattern, and eight – pattern projection lamps. These lamps can hold 4 to 8 patterns. The patterns are projected in sequence. You can adjust the projection speed, sequence, and time of the patterns.

Do you want the patterns you present to form a theme? Do you want to promote a collection? Your brand designs are so great, it’s such a pity to display just one. Do you want to showcase your brand to the fullest? Then this is a no – brainer! It will meet all your needs in one go.

For multi-pattern projectors, Aladdin supplies models with switchable 4, 6 or 8 gobo patterns.

Sure, we supply switchable projectors with 4/6/8 gobos. One single unit handles all patterns.

Pattern-switching modes of rotating gobos projectors are as follows:
Auto-cycle Mode: The lamp automatically switches patterns in preset order and plays in a loop.
Freeze Mode: Pause on a single projected pattern and keep displaying it until manual switching to the next one.
Remote Control Switch: Manually change patterns via remote controller; both freeze and cycle modes are available.
Button Switch: Part of DMX512-controlled pattern projectors with display panels support pattern switching via onboard buttons.

sure

Of course

Adjustments can be made via the control panel on the rear of the lamp. Locate the pattern setting menu on the panel to set the image switching interval from 1 second to 255 seconds.

It works perfectly. Since gobos are customizable, you can tailor them to match your preferred event themes.

Certainly. Besides customizable gobo patterns, we offer other customization options. Check our Service & Support page for full details.

Aladdin’s pattern-switchable projectors feature a maximum power of 1500W and deliver a projection distance up to 200 meters.

It depends on the specific design. One common approach is physical switching: the lamp contains a rotatable pattern wheel (gobo wheel). A motor drives the wheel to rotate, aligning different pattern areas with the light source to achieve pattern switching—simple and fast. Another more advanced method is optical synthesis: using multi-color light sources combined with specially designed color filter wheels, different color combinations are controlled to “generate” various patterns. This method eliminates complex mechanical moving parts and supports more compact device designs.

Very convenient. Most multi-pattern projection lamps support one-click switching via remote control. More professional models even support DMX512 signal control or mobile App control, allowing you to not only switch patterns but also adjust brightness, color, and rotation speed simultaneously—ideal for commercial or stage settings that require multiple units to work in sync.

The core advantages are flexibility and cost-effectiveness. With a traditional single-pattern lamp, changing the pattern requires replacing the physical film/gobo, which is costly and time-consuming. A multi-pattern projection lamp, on the other hand, comes with a built-in pattern wheel or pre-programmed image set—you can switch styles at any time. For scenarios like storefront signage or event decorations that require frequent visual updates, it saves you the hassle and expense of repeatedly customizing and replacing gobos.

Not at all. High-quality projection lamps use precision-engineered glass gobos paired with premium optical lens assemblies (even multi-element lens groups). This ensures high light transmittance while delivering crisp, sharp pattern edges. Some premium models achieve a brightness uniformity of over 60%, preventing noticeable “dark spots” or “hot spots” in the projected image.

Not at all—in fact, they complement each other perfectly. Multi-pattern projection lamps typically support user-customized patterns or Logos. You can insert your custom gobo into the lamp and combine it with the built-in default patterns. This way, you can use general decorative patterns for daily purposes and switch to your brand Logo with one click during specific events or business hours—truly achieving “one lamp, multiple uses.”

Multi-pattern projection lamps have a very wide range of applications. Compact models are great for home ambiance lighting and party decorations; commercial-grade units are ideal for storefront signage, brand Logo projection, and advertising; industrial high-power models can even be used for large-scale projects like building facade lighting, bridge illumination, and outdoor stage performances. The “multi-pattern switching” capability makes them a powerful tool for events and commercial displays.

It largely depends on the light source type. Most modern multi-pattern projection lamps use LED light sources, with a lifespan of approximately 50,000 hours—far outlasting traditional bulbs (which typically last around 1,500–2,000 hours). When purchasing, check the product specifications for “light source type” and “rated lifespan.”

This depends on the specific model. Some advanced versions support layered dynamic effects or combined patterns, creating rich visual depth within a single frame—though typically through sequential display or optical stacking. For specific multi-layer requirements, it’s best to check the detailed functionality of the particular product.

Absolutely. These lamps are ideal for commercial displays, commonly used for projecting store Logos, advertising slogans, or decorative patterns to effectively attract foot traffic. Depending on your needs, you can choose indoor or outdoor-specific commercial projection lamps.

n fact, confirm the projection distance first before selecting the lamp wattage.

Collect client’s projection distance, target image size and application scenario.
Select fixtures: Liying 80W for 1–30m; Liying 100W for 1–38m. Match proper lens for large image at short range.
Calculate image size: Distance × lens magnification = pattern diameter. Use mounting height & throw ratio to get image dimension.

Select the proper wattage based on projection distance, ambient brightness, projection effect and clients’ special requirements. Adjust wattage or switch lamp models if customers disagree with the recommended option.

Choose lens angle considering projection distance, pattern size, ambient brightness and compatible lamp specifications. Adjust lens ratio or modify the lens for special requirements. The standard lens ratio is 0.33 by default. We can correct source images to achieve ideal projection if you need angled pattern output.

Formula: Projection distance × lens magnification = pattern diameter Example: 10m×0.33=3.3m

Focus adjustment: Screw lens out for short distance, in for long distance.
Lens maintenance: Wipe off fog on lens if blurry.
Slide & cover fix: Realign cover and fix slide for half-blurry image.
Resize pattern: Oversized pattern causes dim, fuzzy edges.
Lens installation: Replace lens if center sharp but edges blurred.
Proper setup: Higher wattage lamp for bright surroundings; lamps with compound lens & nano spotlight preferred.
Troubleshooting: Record faulty footage first, adjust specs or replace slide; return for inspection if issues persist.

The brightness of gobo projectors depends on multiple factors: lamp wattage, ambient light, lens type, projection distance, gobo quality, LED color temperature, power supply stability and heat dissipation. Proper lamp selection and optimized working conditions effectively boost brightness output.

Continuous 24-hour operation is not recommended, as it will greatly shorten the service life of the projection lamp.

Wipe lens and housing regularly with soft cloth to avoid scratch and dust.
Clear cooling vents routinely for good heat dissipation.
Keep good waterproof outdoors; add protective glass to stop lens water accumulation.
Fix tightly to avoid shock and collision damage.
Check power cord and match rated input voltage.
Contact after-sales for breakdown; do not disassemble privately.

The lens cleaning frequency depends on the operating environment and working condition of the projection lamp.

Our gobos are mainly made of glass, quartz and iron. It should be noted that Aladdin projection lights primarily adopt high-temperature resistant glass gobos. Quartz gobos feature superior heat resistance yet come with higher costs, and are recommended for high-power fixtures above 500W. Both glass and quartz gobos support single-color and full-color printing. As for iron gobos, they can only display simple patterns with LED light sources, resulting in limited application scenarios and are mostly used for atmosphere decoration.

You can opt for models with a higher IP rating. Compared with indoor versions, outdoor projection lights feature enhanced surface sealing and upgraded internal waterproof components.

Yes. Gobo projectors can display images on a variety of surfaces, including walls, floors, building facades, roads, rocks, and other textured materials. However, the projection quality depends on the surface condition.

For the sharpest and most vivid image, we recommend projecting onto a flat, light-colored surface. Rough, dark, or highly reflective surfaces may reduce image clarity, brightness, or color performance.

For outdoor architectural and landscape projects, our high-power projection lamps are specifically designed to maintain excellent visibility even when projecting onto textured building walls or uneven surfaces.

Sample order terms

Do sample orders have legal effect?

Stamped or electronically signed Sample PI/SO has legal force under international trade. Sample orders are independent from bulk production contracts. Pricing, quality inspection, and compensation rules are not interchangeable. All agreements must be confirmed in writing; oral agreements are not valid.

(1) Paid samples: Buyer pays product cost plus shipping and taxes; (2) Free samples: Supplier covers product cost, buyer pays shipping and customs duties; declared as non-commercial gift; (3) Deductible samples: sample cost can be deducted from future bulk orders of the same product, subject to written agreement.

Must specify mold ownership, mold cost responsibility, number of revisions, approval timeline, and revision surcharges. Without written agreement, mold ownership belongs to supplier; buyer only has usage rights of samples.

Full payment before shipment. No credit terms or monthly settlement. Supports TT, PayPal, Western Union, etc. Letters of Credit are not accepted for small sample orders.

Only applicable to the same product under the same terms in bulk orders. Valid within 6 months after receipt. Bulk order must be ≥ USD 5000 to apply. Shipping and customs fees are not deductible.

Before production: 3% cross-border handling fee will be charged. If sample is already produced: no refund, but exchange allowed. For custom mold development: mold fee is non-refundable; only material cost difference may be refunded. All transfer fees are borne by buyer.

By default, buyer is responsible for all import duties, VAT, customs clearance, and storage/demurrage fees. For DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), taxes are included in the quotation in advance.

Samples with value ≤ USD 100 may be declared as non-commercial goods. Paid samples must be declared truthfully. Any under-declaration or zero declaration causing customs penalties is the buyer’s responsibility. Compliant paid samples allow the supplier to process tax refunds normally.

Damage or loss before shipment will be re-sent free of charge by supplier. Damage during transit will be supported for carrier claims, but supplier does not bear replacement cost. Damage after buyer receipt is the buyer’s responsibility.

Gobo projectors generally perform poorly outdoors in daytime, as no lamp can outshine sunlight. They work for indoor daytime projection yet suffer partial brightness loss; higher-wattage fixtures can be used to retain good visibility.

In-stock samples ship within 3–5 working days after payment. Custom samples ship within 7–8 working days after final approval. Delays caused by customs inspection, flight delays, or force majeure are not considered breaches. Supplier-caused delays only allow one free replacement shipment.

Subject to signed sample confirmation agreement. Samples are for reference only by default. Mass production allows standard industry tolerances. If identical quality is required, a sealed sample agreement must be signed.

Paid customized samples include up to 2 free revisions before shipment.

All intellectual property and design rights belong to the supplier. Buyer may only use samples for procurement verification and is strictly prohibited from reselling, copying, or reverse engineering. Violations allow supplier to pursue legal responsibility and terminate cooperation.

If supplier makes production errors, rework and reshipment are free, including round-trip shipping cost. If issues are due to buyer preference or selection mistakes, no free return or exchange is provided; rework requires additional payment.
